Terence Wallis is a pioneer in the world of Australian rules football in Ontario, Terence played an integral role in the foundation of the Canadian Australian Football Association (CAFA) during its inaugural meeting on May 25, 1989. As the inaugural coach of the Mississauga Mustangs, he kicked off the league by playing in the first game on September 9, 1989. Over the years, he showcased exceptional talent on the field, playing 76 games with the Mustangs and contributing 40 goals between 1989 and 1995, as well as 10 games with the Toronto Dingos in 1996.

In addition to his playing career, Terence took on significant leadership roles, serving as a captain and coach for the Mississauga Mustangs from 1989 to 1993, where he achieved an impressive win record. He was also a founder of the Toronto Dingos and was their inaugural coach for the 1996 season. His commitment to the sport extended beyond the field as also held various executive positions within CAFA, including Vice President and President, helping to shape the future of AFL in Canada. As a playing coach for Team Canada in international matches, he represented the nation with pride and dedication on a number of occasions.

Terence’s contributions have not gone unnoticed; he is a life member of the Mississauga Mustangs, Toronto Dingos, and CAFA, each recognizing his lasting impact on the sport. He was also selected for the Australia All-Star Team in 1993, further underscoring his remarkable achievements in the game. His legacy continues to inspire future generations of players and coaches in the AFL Ontario community.
