Ed Worsfold is a highly regarded figure in the AFL Ontario community, known for his extensive contributions as a player, coach, and executive. His career with the Mississauga Mustangs/High Park Demons spanned from 1994 to 2014, during which he played 183 games. Ed was a key player in the Mississauga Mustangs’ premiership victory in 1994.

In addition to his playing career, Ed took on the coaching responsibilities with the High Park Demons in 1997. He also played a significant role in the administrative side of the club, serving as President in 2008 and Director of Communications from 2004 to 2009. His leadership and organizational skills were instrumental in the club’s operations and success.

Ed’s contributions extended to the national level, where he represented Team Canada Northwind in the Atlantic Alliance Cup in 2001, playing four games, and in the International Cup in 2002, playing six games. His total national team appearances amount to 10 games.

His individual accolades include being named the Mississauga Mustangs’ Most Improved player in 1996 and serving as the team captain from 2000 to 2008. He was also selected for the OAFL All Star team in 2005 and 2006.

Ed’s dedication, leadership, and passion for Australian Football have left a lasting impact on the AFL Ontario community, inspiring future generations of players and contributing to the sport’s growth and success in the region.
