Tasos ‘Sauce’ Dimacakos is a highly respected figure in the AFL Ontario community, known for his outstanding contributions as a player and leader. His career with the Toronto Eagles spanned from 1998 to 2017, during which he played 230 games and scored 78 goals. Tasos’s leadership on the field was evident as he captained the team from 2010 to 2015, leading the Eagles to seven premiership victories in 1998, 1999, 2002, 2006, 2007, 2009, and 2017.

Tasos also made significant contributions at the national level, representing Team Canada from 2001 to 2010, playing 25 games. His defensive prowess earned him the title of Toronto Eagles Best Defender in 2008 and 2011, and he was awarded the Toronto Eagles Coaches Award in 2012. He was named Grand Final MVP in both 2007 and 2008, highlighting his impact in crucial matches.

In addition to his on-field achievements, Tasos served on the Toronto Eagles executive team from 2010 to 2015, demonstrating his commitment to the administrative and organizational aspects of the sport. He was a key player for the All Ontario Team, being selected in 2003, 2004, 2006-2011, 2013 (as vice-captain), and 2015.
